To supplement the 2011 Origin-Destination (O-D) survey, the TRANS Committee conducts a Special Generators Survey (SGS) in the National Capital Region from November 4 to 29, 2013.
The SGS collects comprehensive data on trip patterns made by residents and non-permanent residents to the region such as visitors, professionals attending seminars, etc. and trip patterns associated with big generators such as universities, sporting venues, and entertainment centres. The information collected will be used for future major walking, cycling, transit and road projects, land use evaluations, transportation policies, environment assessments, and the next review of the City’s master plans.
